It is recommended that you open the app to sync your step data at least once a day. You can manually trigger a sync by tapping the Sync now button on the dashboard right when you open the app.
Some data sources, like Google Health (Fitbit), support automatic background syncing and will periodically sync your step data for you throughout the day. Even with automatic background syncing, we advise that you do open the app daily for the most accurate data.
